With oil reserves of over 115 billion barrels, Iraq has the world’s third largest oil resources. In more recent years, these reserves have been estimated at over 350 billion barrels and, if proven, Iraq would have the largest untapped source of oil globally. But Iraq’s hydrocarbons industry has been starved of capital and technological investment for decades. The Oil and Gas Sector Table assists Iraq in the sustainable development of its reserves to enjoy the best possible economic and social development that such natural resource wealth will bring. The Oil & Gas Sector Table is chaired by Ammar Ishaq of Petrofac.
