Mosul University Library – Images from before and after ISIS occupation and the need for urgent reconstruction. Given to the IBBC by Mohammed Jasim, Director of the Mosul University Library, the images show what the library looked like prior to the destruction caused by ISIS, when the University was recognised as one of the preeminent educational institutions in Iraq. The video shows in stark contrast the devastation wreaked upon the campus, laboratories and library by years of fighting and terrorist occupation. The university is in severe need of reconstruction and aid, to help those students and teachers who are continuing to pursue education for a generation so afflicted by conflict.
